The T-shirt Designer’s Toolbox

thumb2A virtual toolbox of resources that one can use for designing t-shirts.

So we wanted to put together a virtual toolbox of resources that one can use for designing t-shirts. The reasons for this were two-fold. The first is due to our interest in designing t-shirts here at Dead Wings Designs, seeing as we were gathering these resources for ourselves, we thought we’d show the love and share the work. The second reason for the post, was because we were interested in this blog itself being a sort of digital online toolbox, however when looked at that more in-depth, we realized that would make us tools. That was not a label we felt like donning voluntarily, so we dropped the toolbox description of the site.

Here we have a post chock full of resources, tutorials, templates, and more…well, not really more, and templates I guess could be considered resources, but still the point is the same. I&3146;m just not sure at this juncture what that point was. Anyhoo, moving on, and all that jazz. Below we hope that you will find a useful tool or two that you will want to keep handy on all of your t-shirt designing endeavors.

    Oh damn! That’s rad!

I’ve been making shirts for a while, but they’ve all been spraypaint and stencils, hah! Maybe now I can make something that more people than me would want to wear, lol.

    kickass post!

@ JeremyOLED – Hopefully this will do it. When the designs start piling up, remember another place to showcase them is the Dead Wings Flickr Group. Can’t wait to see what you come up with.

@ brtak – Not a problem. Thanks for checking it out.

@ Andrew – Hells yeah it is! I’d love to see some of your stencil work. I’m sure you aren’t the only one who likes them!

My only problem is the printing itself.. I have tried those iron-on sheets and all, but that’s just terrible haha…
How do you actually print it on? By another company? (this seems expensive to me)
