One day a few months ago, Angie and I were talking about taking a rawer edge to our work for a side project that hit me like a creative bolt from out of nowhere.
We wanted to start branching into print design, and we wanted it to be more of a darker take than we had ventured with Arbenting, and thus Dead Wings Designs was born.
I grabbed a notebook one day after the phrase ‘On the Wings of the Dead’ hit me, and began scribbling out some rough sketches for snowboard designs, and logo ideas. A few hours later, I had about seven or eight ideas that made the decision for us. Dead Wings Designs was a go!
Arbenting, we decided a long time ago (and by a ‘long time ago’, we mean a matter of months, it just sounds more commanding and meaningful the other way.) that we would maintain a more professional persona as it was more fitting with the overall idea. Here at Dead Wings Designs, we decided to remove this proverbial stick up our ass, and let all bets be off! Gloves too, so all asshats be warned. You will be called on all asshattery committed on this site. Just kidding…though not really.
Since we took our time with the launch, we had a chance to start building a bit of a gallery. Our original snowboard designs are below. Check them out and let us know what you think…in a constructive way. (See prior statement about asshattery.)
