  1. @ Andrew – Thanks for the solid input, man. Very insightful. Completely wrong, but very insightful! :P Totally kidding! I like all of your critiques and appreciate them.

I really like the idea of switching the top and bottom, not to mention the much more vivid blue. We’ll look at making the brown lines more subtle, I’m not sure about taking them away completely, mainly because I think it adds more of an underground appearance to the whole thing.

We will have more to come. Thanks again for the thoughts!

  2. I’m really happy that dead wings has launched! I remember talking to Angie a little bit about it a short while ago.

I’m loving this design and, as a snowboarder, I have a couple inputs: first I would switch the designs (raven on bottom, skull+ on top); then make that blue REALLY vivid (simple, bright bottoms on snowboards are AWESOME when reflecting in the air or the snow); and then (just as personal preference) I would change/drop those brown lines on the dirt. I really love the simplicity of this design and I really don’t think you need those fractures; i think it almost takes away from it.

anyway, that’s just me jabbering on ;) can’t wait to see more dead wing designs!

  3. @rob – ;p

I can see where you’re coming from with losing the underground feeling; it might just look like a skull on the ground without the lines, haha.

I’d like to see them more subtle. Right now I just feel like they’re too strong, maybe if the blue was more vivid it would be enough to offset it; i don’t know for sure, i can’t tell without playing with it ;)

Now you’ve got me inspired to put together some of my own board designs :)

  4. @ Andrew – We will definitely be revisiting this design with your suggestions in mind.

Can’t wait to see what you come up with. You can always add them to the Dead Wings Flickr group! ;)
